BSc in Computer Science with an AI focus at the University of L'Aquila, 110/110 with honours. From September 2026, an MSc in Data Science and Engineering at Politecnico di Torino.
Bachelor's thesis on a benchmark for explainable AI narratives applied to graph machine learning, now continuing as a research collaboration toward a publication. In between: backend work on university platforms, agents in Python, six years as a freelance videomaker.

univaq-doc-rag: grounded answers on regulations

A retrieval system over the University of L'Aquila's regulations, answering in natural language with the source article cited under every claim. Hybrid dense and sparse retrieval, a cross-encoder reranker measured and then left switched off, and a low-confidence path that declines to answer instead of dressing up the nearest article it happened to find.

A Comprehensive Benchmark on Explainable AI Narratives for Graph Machine Learning

A benchmark for evaluating natural-language explanations of counterfactuals on graphs: 2 explanation methods compared across 2 datasets.
An evaluator-agnostic framework that measures informativeness by inverse reconstruction: how much of the original counterfactual is recoverable from the generated narrative.
Experimental pipeline in Python and PyTorch Geometric.
Key finding. AI narratives are often under-specified: the LLM understands the counterfactual's edit set but fails to surface it clearly in the textual explanation.
